30 Days to a New You – Day 10

Hello Lovelies,

Here’s tip 10 of 30 Days to a New You!

This is a hard one to navigate. I find that I live and behave in extremes and in the various phases of my life I’ve either been completely absorbed in myself or I’ve given all of my energy and my time to others. Now that I reflect on it all, I see that it is important to cultivate a love for yourself, a genuine love that is not defined by anything physical or material. Cultivating this type of love can never be viewed as selfish but it must be balanced with developing and maintaining relationships and making a difference. 

TIP 10: BE SELFISH SOMETIMES

Women tend to love wholeheartedly and give until we have nothing left to give. I recommend that in the process of loving and caring for others, we remember to take time for ourselves and be selfish sometimes. Help others but remember to help yourself too. And when you are going to be selfish, spend your “selfish” time doing things that will make you happier and more content with yourself LONG-TERM! Remember beauty fades, so manis, pedis and shopping may not be the best use of your selfish time. Instead, try journalling, goal setting, writing a letter, reading, meditating, praying, working out, etc. Hope this helps!
